Holiday Festivities For The Season

ATLANTIC BEACH, Fla. Giving Thanks at Azurea -

Azurea restaurant presents a Thanksgiving menu that provides so much to be thankful for. Guests to One Ocean Resort & Spa enjoy all the holiday classics along with children's holiday favorites beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Thanksgiving Day. Samples of the ala carte menu include, Roasted Pumpkin Gnocchi, Slow Roasted Berkshire Pork Loin and many other tastes to please the grateful palate.

Surprise Gingerbread Creation -

Each year, the culinary team at One Ocean Resort & Spa culinary team wows visitors with the unveiling of a surprise gingerbread house. A tasty holiday tradition evokes wide-eyed excitement on Monday, Nov. 19th at 10 a.m. Calling for more than 200 pounds of butter, 400 pounds of brown sugar, 175 pounds of flour, 20 gallons of molasses, 600 pounds of powdered sugar and 2,200 eggs, the life-size gingerbread structure is a feast for the eyes. Following in the footsteps of the past four years' delightful {edible} designs of a Sand Castle, an Igloo, a Train and Santa's sleigh, the structure will surprise all while creating a terrific holiday photo opportunity for onlookers. Guests enjoy sweet treats and tunes of carolers during the unveiling.

Culinary Christmas -

The aroma and tastes of Christmas surround One Ocean Resort & Spa with warm mulled cider and fresh baked cookies served daily in the lobby from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m., Nov. 19th through New Year's Day. Christmas Eve dinner at Azurea restaurant is served 5:30 – 10 p.m. This festive menu includes a Sampler of House Charcuterie, Hand Rolled Winter Sweet Potato Dumplings and Red Wine Braised Colorado Lamb Shank. Christmas desserts include Chocolate Bouche De Cole, Bittersweet Chocolate Mousse and Warm Spiced Bread Pudding.

New Years Eve Eats -

New Years Eve 2012 presents a decadent five-course menu that is $105 per person with a wine flight of $40 per person. The evening begins at 5 p.m. with items like Cast Iron Seared Jumbo Blue Crab Cake, Warm Georgia Flat Creek Farms Solf Sheep's Milk Souffle and Piedmontese Beef Tenderloin Au Pouvre. After, party-goers enjoy the Azurea Bubbles Bar.
