The Art of Luxury
Elegance: it's an art that combines simplicity with inspiration, and it abounds at One Ocean™ From an atmosphere to a sculpture, a mood to a meal, elegance is that intangible quality that embodies The Gallery™ and defines One Ocean as a work of art in itself.
The elegant and creative spirit of each Gallery hotel is captured through an artful, inspired setting. For One Ocean, Remington created a visual masterpiece through a compelling composition of artists, each offering a unique vision inspired by the hotel's oceanic setting. One such artist is Joe Simmons, who uses nature as his inspiration to design fluid, organic sculptures that evoke conversation and emotion. His work can be found across the nation and ranges from architectural fixtures to jewelry to furniture. For One Ocean, he used modern industrial machinery and old world techniques to craft the bronze seaweed sculpture that commands attention in the lobby, capturing the energy and movement of oceanic life.
Another artist in the One Ocean canvas is Justin Ginsberg, whose blown glass installations are on view in the lobby's grand staircase. Ginsberg's work has been displayed in museum and galleries throughout the country, and now he brings his creations to One Ocean. Each composition captures the utopian feeling of the ocean and the balance between people and nature, helping guests feel a connection to the ocean.
Also featured is Jennifer Prichard, who draws inspiration from nature to create wall compositions in the United States and abroad. For most of her installations, including those in the One Ocean spa corridor, Prichard uses hand-made porcelain pieces arranged in fluid, organic patterns. Her designs evoke the forms of marine life and waves, and the cool, pastel palette complements the soothing tone of the spa.
The collection of One Ocean artists does not end with these three names. Throughout the hotel, guests will find an array of artistic creations that help create a pure, organic ambiance that awakens and inspires. From dramatic sculptures to serene wall installations, inspiration is everywhere at One Ocean. It is elegance, and One Ocean has it.
Capturing the Essence
 The photography gallery located in the lobby of One Ocean represents the confluence of art, luxury and nature. The exhibit will continually evolve to highlight local and national artists who uniquely interpret the essence of each setting. For The Gallery debut in One Ocean, renowned American lifestyle photographer Greg Whitaker's unique style is proudly displayed. Greg Whitaker's work represents the simple moments when work ends and vacation begins. His photographs are also permanently displayed in the one Ocean guest rooms offering the elegant representation of the spirit of discovery found throughout the resort.
